Mary Ann Devine ( is in her 23rd year at Northfield Community School. She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and a master’s in gifted education. She teaches 7th grade Social Studies and 8th grade 21st Century Life Skills. She is also the technology facilitator for the middle school. She has taught every grade from preschool to 8th grade during her career. She was a field consultant for the NJ Council of Economic Education. She was on the Teacher Advisory Board Of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia,which helped to create the interactive educational display they have on site now for students and the public. On of here Gifted and Talented Units was published as a workbook for the book Takashi's Voyage by Lucinda Hathaway.She was Northfield Community Middle School's Teacher of the Year in 2003-2004. She has 2 children and is an active soccer mom.

Kevin Jarrett ( has been the K-4 Technology Facilitator at Northfield Community School in Northfield, NJ since 2003. In this role he is responsible for technology instruction in a lab setting for the entire elementary student body. Rather than just “teaching computers,” Kevin delivers engaging, informative, challenging and enjoyable lessons that integrate with content being taught by his classroom-teacher peers while leveraging state-of-the-art Web 2.0 and social media technologies. In addition to his own instructional duties, Kevin mentors his fellow teachers on the integration of technology into their classrooms. He has designed & lead numerous technology professional development workshops in his district and has presented at numerous regional and national conferences. Kevin is a Google Certified Teacher and was Northfield Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year in 2008-2009. He is also the district webmaster. A second-career educator, Kevin left the corporate world after 9/11 to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher.
